Mr BONNEFOY in which year did you start your breeding?
The breeding of the Mulberry tree of Sordeille saw its first range being born in the night from December 31 86 at January 1 87 from the marriage from Tanguy and Acanthe my first will beaucerons. Eight pups had been born this night there!
Why did you become stockbreeder?
By passion of the dogs and beauceron which is a marvellous race, I had the chance to have two exceptional specimens that one be Tanguy and Acanthe, they were very intelligent with a personality which did not leave indifferent those which côtoyés them, they were like their Panka mother.
To have a good dog it is the wish of any Master. A timorous dog which is not sociable to see aggressive is not representative of the race on the contrary it feeds the rumor which one hears sometimes “Ah the low-reds it is necessary to be wary about it”
Fortunately the success of the race shows well that its qualities are recognized and it is this one that I wish to perennialize in the dogs of our breeding.
Do you have a philosophy of breeding and a receipt to produce good dogs?
It is much more complicated than a receipt, it would be too easy but to summarize, a balanced dog will be the result of three joined together factors, the genetic transmission, the conditions of breeding and finally the love which its Master will bring to him, these three things which I compare with the links of a chain are indissociable.
If these three criteria are respected you have all the chances to have a good dog.
Can you develop its three criteria?
• The hereditary factor and the genetic transmission of the features of character are very important, you will understand that the quality of those of the parents is necessary.
• Then the conditions of breeding is not to neglect, indeed a pup from its birth to its departure of in the stockbreeder needs to be handled daily, it is what is called socialization.
My children, who are often in the middle of them to play, take part largely in that. A pup needs also to have left its park to discover other universes, to hear other noises, it discovers the house, the walks in forest etc…
All these trainings will mark it all its life.
• And to finish it is the Master who will supplement the whole, while bringing love, time and education to him.
Isn't to such Master such dog told?
Whereas it is your design of the breeding?
For me a stockbreeder with the passion of a race, respects it and it will seek by crossings judicious to preserve to see to even improve the qualities specific with this race.
This is valid that one is a professional stockbreeder or simply occasional stockbreeder or amateur, the fact of living about it is not the problem, it is a question of ethics.
The traffics of dogs multiply coming from the Eastern European countries, of the projects of factory to produce pups are being studied, if that continues one does not buy more pups in breedings but in shops, living rooms, fairs and markets, that already exists.
We, we appreciate that people visit us, discover our dogs, our breeding and our philosophy, later they return to see us with their companion.
A dog it is not an object which one buys on a blow of head, it is a decision which must be maturely considered because it will accompany you during a dozen by year for the best as for the worst.
